Hi guys! I'm a 21 Italian INTP (as I recently found out lol).
I grew up in a small town and was the only dude with my personality around so I actually thought I was pretty much of a one-of-a-kind... Luckily, the internets proved me very wrong :P
One of my best (and few) buddies back at high school was clearly an INTJ, and while in general I had the tendencies to be more creative, find "better methodical ways to achieve stuff" (in school, playing music and girls), understand people better and like everyone for who they are, he's always been "better" than me in all areas of life simply because he is way more focused on the results than on the quality of the process to achieve said results.
By this I mean higher grades, better relationships (both loving ones and friendship ones) with people, ecc.
He enjoyed my company and I enjoyed his (nerdy stuff, prog music, maths, you get the idea) but he always was the one leading the conversation while I was "just" contribuiting to it. He's obviously a leader while I'm just.. kind of standing around rofl.
What I'm concerned about is, are we doomed to be outclassed in life by INTJs because of their focus on practical results or does there actually exist something we can do to overcome our lazyness and love of knowledge for the sake of itself in order to get less bad, um, stuff, happen to us in life? Like, getting less distracted by different possibilities, seeking less approval from others in relationships, imposing our personality more and leading others, stuff like that, or should we just stick to ourselves trusting that being who we are will make us happier than trying to expand in areas which are not exactly our own?
I apologise for my possibly poor english and hope to have posted something that isn't too boring in the right place (please tell me I'm ok, I need your approval to feel worthy of interacting!
but really, I do. Lol)
