Have ever anyone known and intereste on Ptypes?
http://ptypes.com/overviews.html

Like the author point out the correlation between personality disorder and MBTI, I believe all of people in the world are personality disorder patients. It just has some gaps make the real patient one and "normal" us different.

The source doesn't have any matchs so I list the PD types and MBTI types here:

Formal: Ptypes character styles: MBTI types - Personality disorders

1. Conscientious: ISTJ - Obsessive compulsive

2. Sensitive: INFJ - Avoidant

3. Vigilant: ESTJ - Paranoid

4. Dramatic: INFP - Histrionic

5. Agressive: ENTJ - Sadistic

6. Idiosyncratic: INTJ - Schizotypal

7. Inventive: ENTP - Compensatory Narcissistic

8. Solitary: INTP - Schizoid

9. Leisurely: ENFJ - Passive Aggressive

10. Serious: ISTP - Depressive

11. Self sacrificing: ESFJ - Masochist

12. Devoted: IFSJ - Dependent

13. Self-Confident: ENFP - Narcissistic

14. Adventurous: ESTP - Antisocial/ Psychopathy/ Socialpathic

15. Mercurial: ESFP - Borderline

16. Exuberant: ISFP - Cyclothymic

Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss.

You know these aren't that bad, but I'd add a caveat that it depends on what the neurotic point is. For example, ESTJ is Te(Fi) + Si(Ne). So if their Te is the neurotic focus, then you'd pretty much get paranoia because they have Si and not Ni to curb that; but if Ne is the neurotic focus, then you have an ESTJ that's resembling a neurotic ENTP (Ne + Dominant Thinking) instead.

Does that make sense?

edit: This is a major reason why I don't agree with SimulatedWorld's Loop theory because it assumes being neurotic includes both together when practically it's not that simple.

I typed myself as a schizoid (is INTP) when I was pretty depressed. Yeah.

I don't really have anything else to contribute, but I do think it's better for a professional to diagnose you instead of you doing it yourself. You get confirmation bias and could get psychologically detrimental for you yahdeyadeyah.

I don't necessarily agree with ENFP's being narssistic though..

Yeah, lol @ IFSJ. We're not dependent, more like passive aggressive or obsessive compulsive. There can be only one

Seems like an effort was made to find a label for each type. Schizoid could probably apply to multiple instances of Introversion. Same for avoidant, dependent and masochist.

I know these things are supposed to be fun and theoretical, but personal experience disagrees with the list a bit. I've come across the following combinations:
ENFJ - Histrionic PD
ISFP - Borderline PD & Sadomasochism (different people)
ESFP - Sociopathy [Antisocial PD] (the real kind, not the movie kind)
ISTP - Oppositional-defiant PD
ESFJ - Narcissistic PD (antisocial subtype)
INFJ & INFP - Dysthymia
ISFJ - Codependent
ENTJ - Narcissist PD (grandiose subtype) (low on the narcissism outside the grandiosity)

It will be true if we see PD and MBTI are 2 parts which aren't relative to each other. But I want to talk about the correlation between them.

I doubt many people here really read or did a little research about ptypes yet? Because the first time I read about PD symptoms it fit perfectly with the dominant and the auxiliary cognitive function from Jung idea. The ptypes character styles are based on PDs. So I recommend focus on PDs instead of ptypes or else it will cause some confusion.

And I haven't seen any matchs of who think mine wrong, which make my doubt seem is true. Don't you really read it or not?

Examples:
The obsessive compulsive PD's cognitive effects:
I am fully responsible for myself and others.
I have to depend on myself to see that things get done.
Others tend to be too casual, often irresponsible, self-indulgent, or incompetent.
It is important to do a perfect job on everything.
I need order, systems, and rules in order to get the job done properly.
If I don't have systems, everything will fall apart.
Any flaw or defect of performance may lead to a catastrophe.
It is necessary to stick to the highest standards at all times, or things will fall apart.
I need to be in complete control of my emotions.
People should do things my way.
If I don't perform at the highest level, I will fail.
Flaws, defects, or mistakes are intolerable.
Details are extremely important.
My way of doing things is generally the best way (361).

And the dependent
I am needy and weak.
I need somebody around available at all times to help me carry out what I need to do or in case something bad happens.
My helper can be nurturant, supportive, and confident if he or she wants to be.
I am helpless when I am left on my own.
I am basically alone unless I can attach myself to a stronger person.
The worst possible thing would be to be abandoned.
I must do nothing to offend my supporter or helper.
I must be subservient in order to maintain his or her good will.
I need others to help me make decisions or tell me what to do.
I must maintain access to him or her at all times.
I should cultivate as intimate a relationship as possible.
I can't make decisions on my own.
I can't cope as other people can.
I need others to help me make decisions or tell me what to do.

Have no idea so many people can't see it perfectly is ISTJ and ISFJ. Don't you really read it seriously??

I don't think that this is even possible. You can't classify a whole type as applying to one personality disorder. As an INTP I do struggle with personality disorders mostly schizoid and schizotypal, but I also have depression, and have had an eating disorder for six years now. I've had hallucinations and delusions as well that come and go. I think it's sort of a chicken and egg things where all of my mental problems made me feel isolated, so I withdrew and my INTP personality developed not the other way around. I also think it's possible to be any MBTI type and be perfectly healthy from a mental and or physical standpoint.

I don't think certain traits can give you a personality disorder if that makes sense. Technically most disorders in the realm of abnormal psychology are any trait or behaviour at an escalated level. Not necessarily something you have and inherently are.

At the same time, while not in every case, I think most INTP and people of intuitive type are likely to have depression and things of the like, because they go hand in hand with seeing reality.

:o wow I hope what I was trying to get across did. I feel like I explained myself very poorly, and at the same time anyone who reads this probably already thought of it.....

I've wondered about this! Good post.
I think I am fearful avoidant at least mildly, but it might have to do with being relocated to a different culture I will never fit in with. I don't see myself as infj though.
