Too much salt or too much sugar?

I actually asked my kids this exact question a couple nights ago. We were out late, hungry, and the only food source was a gas station convenience store. So I told them to go pick out 1 snacky thing each to tide them over till we got home.

My eldest went straight to the candy section and picked out a Snicker's bar. He always goes for the sugar, preferably chocolate, and is eternally pissed off that his favorite, Reece's Peanut Butter Cups, are very difficult to find in this country. Sugar, sugar, sugar.

His brother made a beeline to the potato chip section, where he selected a black bag of "diablo" Doritos. This kid always goes for the salt...preferably the spiciest, hottest, most absurdly over-flavored salt he can find. Salt, salt, salt.

Personally, I hate Doritos, because they smell like dirty feet to me, but I also go for the salt. I got a bag of (heavily) salted 'lemon flavored' peanuts. Damn, those fuckers were good! I especially enjoyed the last few that were sitting in 1/2 an inch of salt at the bottom of the bag. I know, conveniently packaged heart attack and all that, but man they were good.

So when it comes to pure crap food, what's your preference? Too much salt, or too much sugar?

I also think Doritos smell like dirty feet, but that's exactly why I like them. :D

I'm mostly a sugar seeker.

Must admit I am a salt fiend although as of late I don't find myself fancying any overly strong flavors.

I prefer fat, actually S:

My digestive system has become quite messed up as I grew up, though. I suspect it's a combination of sensitive prone stomach and too much processed food, junk, sweets that tipped the scale. I don't really eat that kind of junk food anymore. Though, what I actually miss most is wheat based food ._.

How am supposed to choose? Both are so wonderful. I'm going to say sugar. I love sweets. I used to keep candy in my pantry, well stocked. I've tried to cut down on my sugar intake. Diabetes runs on my father's side. I probably shouldn't be eating as much rice as I do. Cheap is cheap, though.

I found a product called half salt. It's 50% sodium 50% potassium. It at least makes me feel better salting the heck out of my food. Tastes almost as good, as well.

I always thought that was pretty weird, as well as having a whole pint of ice cream for yourself in one go. I wonder if it's an american thing.

I'm afraid to answer because I know Grayman will show up to quantify just how lame I am. But I pretty much avoid them both. I blend fruit together for sugar and never add salt on anything.

My two most common junk foods are Chili flavoured potato crips and sour jellies - so both.

I also could not stop laughing at this paragraph:
