I don't really use apps, personally.
I feel as though the majority of them are a waste of time.
I try to refrain from depending on technology as my primary source of entertainment.

And I'm not terribly fond of e-book apps. Despite being more accessible than genuine books, I feel that they take away from the experience. In addition, the blue light emitted from our electronics are terrible for our health. Some people can develop such a dependency on their phones that they become accustomed to the instant gratification. Everything is available at their fingerprints. They needn't query or contemplate an issue, as they can easily "look it up" on the Internet. I feel that our dependency on modern electronic technology has made us more prone to laziness, and inhibits our ability to think critically as well.

Call me traditional, if you must. While I can accept the digital age, I most certainly don't have to embrace it.

Nothing wrong with it, I don't really use my smartphone too much, but in work like in the lunch time or the 10" pause I like to read something, and for that's the only way there, I also love books better than e-books, still some books can't be bought or simply are essays and you have to use pdf readers, for me a waste of time would be talking with someone instead of reading wikipedia on my phone

I do have quite a few apps on my phone. Some are for entertainment, others serve more of a purpose.

I use the Facebook and Messenger apps a lot (hangs head in shame)
Plus, I have Kobo books, Netflix, Amazon Video and Spotify for music streaming.
I have the e-bay, Amazon and Argos apps for convenience.
I also have Wikipedia, the Oxford English Dictionary, Converter Pad (converts unit types of almost anything - really useful), along with a spirit level, various colours of torch which work in Morse code, my SatNav and I use my Google Drive a lot.
I also have a meme generator which has proven useful on many occasions.
I used to play games on it, but these days the only game I play is an online scrabble game.
I also have an app that lets me interface with and control Raspberry Pi's.

Apps? Oh yes those things for people who spend most of their time out in the world.

I prefer computers, smart phones are like being on a roller coaster, a little constraining.

I have a smartphone and a PC that is sort of linked to it. Both have their uses.

Yes
  • Google Chrome to substitute Safari on iPhone
  • Gmail for personal mail
  • Outlook for work mail
  • Banking app for money transfers
  • Bosch GLM Measure app for my Bluetooth professional laser measure
  • Scrivener for note-taking, writing, etc (which I also have on PC)
  • Google Maps
  • Uber
  • A couple of public transport apps: Embark (for global travel) and a local one for day to day
  • Messaging apps (Skype, WhatsApp, etc)
  • Spotify
  • Podcasts
  • Binding of Isaac Item Guide (because I have wasted many hours on that wonderful game over the last few years)
  • Pinterest
That's about it. It's a largely utilitarian list. The key thing is that there are no social media apps on there. Because social media can fuck off.

gmail, google maps, and chrome
Authenticator for gmail
tabtrader (checking cryptocurrency prices)
Music Folder Player Full (because I hate going by album or artist name)
Electrum (to check bitcoin payments)
Waze (to check traffic on a long trip)
Calculator
Ruler App (this often comes in handy for checking bolt sizes)
Mobile Doc Scanner - This one is cool. It adjusts the light and dark areas of a document taken by the camera, so it looks clear as possible.
Flashlight App for the camera
Jota Text Editor for making and saving notes

pretty much it, minus some shitty games I never play. Although I did play pokemon duel for a bit.

Objects in the mirror might look closer than they
i have nothing interesting because my phone is super shitty and its memory so small that i need to erase stuff everytime, i haven't updated facebook and many others since like last year because of that
but i do have facebook, messenger and instagram. that's all pretty much.
and a voice recorder for when i come up with ideas for songs.
actually i just installed instagram 2 months ago or so, i never used it before and i was kind of pushed to download it, now i look at it, and i dunno, perhaps it's kind of cool, i made it my personal room of "art" photography/videos instead of just posting landscapes or selfies
boring

I'm a disappointment. I'm ashamed of the fact that I downloaded the instagram app, and I've wasted a lot of time scrolling through my feed on this one.
