Hi! My name is Rebecca and I'm fourteen (very soon 15) years old. I live in Sweden (north Europe, not that you don't know that, I just like to point that out).

I'm very interested in writing, and am planning to publish a book when I get older.

I'm a loner, something my mother hates, I don't particulary like to spend time with people... It's fin for a few hours, but after a day in school I just want to be alone. I also forget easily... papers, gymbags, credit cards, id's, hats, money, telephones... everything.

I analyze everything I see, hear and read, I correct people of they are wrong, or missed something (a detail most of the time), ad have done since I was three years old.

I don't got the math skills, sadly, but maybe I'm a little lazy, or too caught up in writing to practise my maths.... I used to be good in math!

And THAT is me!

(Would LOVE to talk to an other INTP because none of my friends are really interested in this stuff, and it would be fun to see what traits that I may share with other INTPs!)

hey Rebecca!
People just usually call me 'M'.
I just turned 16 about a month ago.

I'm homeschooled because I really didn't like the people at my highschool.
And I hardly ever go out with the few friends that I have.

Every day I'm up in my room pacing (I HAVE to pace to think really clearly.) for hours on end, while listening to music.

Hah, I'm not good at math either, but I do very well at everything else.
And I HATE grammer mistakes.(Maybe that's why I hate texting, haha.)

I'm new here too.
Later!

Hi Rebecca,

a lot of us INTPs seem inclined to write. Verbal communication is really hard, but when you write something down it's a kind of freedom. I bet there are many books waiting to be published among the people here. I look forward to reading more from you.

hey rebecca,
Writing is awesome and a brilliant way to express yourself. I've been writing since I was about 12 but I struggle writing long novels beacause I'll get halfway through and then lose interest in it!!
Anyways if you want to express yourself a little more and improve your skills there's a site i just signed up at www.writing.com
I havent had alot of time to have a good look at it or submit any pieces but from what I can tell it looks pretty cool.
Anyway take it easy and have fun..

Hi! My name is Rebecca and I'm fourteen (very soon 15) years old. I live in Sweden (north Europe, not that you don't know that, I just like to point that out).
Hello Rebecca. My name is Dave (okay, it's David, but everyone calls me Dave). I have two sons about your age (one is 18, the other is 13).
I'm very interested in writing, and am planning to publish a book when I get older.
I hope you do. I do quite a bit of writing and editing, and I have graded more university papers than I care to admit. Writing is an excellent activity (for INTPs and others as well), I hope you continue to enjoy this.
I'm a loner, something my mother hates...
Hopefully, you and she can manage this. People who are not introverted can have trouble understanding us. But, if we keep trying to help them understand, it can really help.
I analyze everything I see, hear and read, I correct people of they are wrong, or missed something (a detail most of the time), ad have done since I was three years old.
I hope your corrections are well-intentioned (and I suppose they are). Some people really dislike being told of their errors and can misunderstand us when we're trying to be helpful.
I don't got the math skills, sadly, but maybe I'm a little lazy, or too caught up in writing to practise my maths.... I used to be good in math!
I have always enjoyed math. I try to think of math problems as puzzles. Somewhere in there, somewhere in that story or in that equation, there is an answer, and I can try to find it.

It's been a pleasure to make your acquaintance,

Dave

Wasted talent... seems like everyone else is trying to guilt me into doing things I'm not interested in. But yeah, I'm lucky enough to have someone to MBTI with... fun!

You'll have more control over that soon enough. At least you have somewhere to go to complain now. :p

True, true. Its empty complaining, really. I have enough freedom that I can follow my interests and disregard the naysayers... That may change in college, when I have to specialize...

Hi! My name is Rebecca and I'm fourteen (very soon 15) years old. I live in Sweden (north Europe, not that you don't know that, I just like to point that out).

Just my luck. I'm also an INTP teenage girl. It seems INTP girls are even more scarce than guys that are INTP.

I'm very interested in writing, and am planning to publish a book when I get older.

Awesome! It's nice to meet an INTP that is more into the arts than math and science, like most people assume. I also really like writing, though I seldom have the time to write for myself (too much schoolwork). I also love listening to and playing music, and making art is my primary interest at the moment.

Writing has been my saving grace many times. The wrist movements seem to be therapeutic and it gives me a chance to communicate like I want to, without fear of hidden meanings and using the wrong tone or saying what people don't want to hear. It lets me communicate well on the first try.

Oh, and just wondering, do you usually write in English or Swedish because your English is really good.

I'm a loner, something my mother hates, I don't particulary like to spend time with people... It's fin for a few hours, but after a day in school I just want to be alone. I also forget easily... papers, gymbags, credit cards, id's, hats, money, telephones... everything.

Wow this is scary! My mom bugs me about being a loner too. It's not that I don't have friends, I just don't feel the need to invite them over all the time. And it seems I always forget something important on mondays.

I analyze everything I see, hear and read, I correct people of they are wrong, or missed something (a detail most of the time), ad have done since I was three years old.

I also find analysis to be entertaining, especially when I'm analyzing the little stupid mistakes that people make, though I've learned to keep it to myself (usually) since it makes people really mad.

I don't got the math skills, sadly, but maybe I'm a little lazy, or too caught up in writing to practise my maths.... I used to be good in math!

Same here. I can do math fairly well, but I find it really boring since it's already been analyzed for me and art is more interesting.

Welcome, Rebecca! Oh, and do you post your writing online? I'd like to read it.

It's true. Female INTPs are a bit rarer. 70% of males are T types. 70% of females are F types. Hence the rarity of female intps, though there are quite a few of them on this board. INterstingly enough, I know 2 female INTPs, 1 Male INTP, 1 Male INTJ, 1 Female INTJ, and 1 Male INTx... Just goes to proves that statistics don't always show themselves... I myself, however, am male.

Hey Rebecca my name is Emily, I live in America. I too am an INTP female (which is stating the obvious). Anyways, I'm 13 years old going on 14 in May. I pretty much have the same traits you do... I love writing as well. I also love physics, philosophy, music, science fiction, etc. My mom is an ESFJ which is the exact opposite personality profile than mine... you can see the frustration which lies there... ha ha! I know what you mean about your friends, my friends find the topics I find very interesting boring and unimportant. So, I live much of my life in my own head thinking up thoughts, only for paper and a pen to see if I so choose to write them down as I view them worthy enough. I have never seen or talked to another INTP female, and I know just how rare we are- 1%of the total population? (that explains sooo much in social life right?:)) so I was quite exited to see your thread topic put up. I enjoy being alone much of the time. I just hate it when people mistake this need for personal space as being unhappy or arrogant. (If I am walking alone in school automatically all these girls might come up to me and ask if I am sad or something?!?!?! WHAT?!?!) It is quite humurous actually. Well, I hope you reply back to this... I would really love to hear from another INTP teenage girl's perspective... I was beggining to doubt their existence... ha ha (que laughter)
