3*3=9, but I'm not sure how to celebrate aside from doing a multiplication table in my head

square day isn't as fun as pi day.

Pi day is an annual event. You only get nine square days a century.

Anyway, pi day is actually saturday next week. How should we celebrate?

3/3/09, 3 is the square root of 9—in other words, 3[2] = 3 x 3 = 9.

There's no reason to celebrate. It's just a date, nothing more or less. I've never understood why some people care so much.

If people didn't make up a few arbitrary events to celebrate every year, there would be no celebration, and all the ESFJs would be very sad.

Since all the traditional holidays have been corrupted by the so-called society, we nerds are left to invent our own.

How about we suffer each day individually and find more fruitful means of creativity?

I would prefer a world without celebrations... The only benefit from them is the school holidays.

How about if YOU suffer each day individually, and I'LL find more creative ways of torturing you?

Yes, very good idea.

Honestly.

I love Halloween, because on that day, I actually have an excuse to dress all gothic and pretty, and no one can say anything about it :D

Friday the 13th is always good too...because even though everyone else hates it, good things happen to me on that day :D

But I really want to make up some holidays. Some day when I could give myself an excuse to do something that society normally would not allow me to do.

But what do I want to do and when? Hmm...

How is it not favorable to increment uniqueness to a day? You want each day to be bland inane without reason? We create the excitement each day, but these celebrations motivate us to act more. Aberrant days are fun.

No...but I do celebrate Dave Gahan and Martin Gore's birthdays :D

One year I drew a happy birthday picture on Dave Gahan's birthday, and sent it to him via the official website. I hope he really saw it...it was an awesome drawing :p

That leaves out that skinny, glass-eyed fellow. What about him? In fact, according to wikipedia, there are two former members too. What about them?

Alan Wilder... (former member) yeah, I should celebrate his b-day too. Although I would have to wait another 10 months for that one...I love Alan. He'll probably be the most likely to read fanmail too.

Vince Clarke was only in the band for a year...so, he doesn't really count.

And although Andrew "Fletch" Fletcher (glass-eyed fellow) does contribute to the band a bit, it's definitely not as much as Dave and Martin do.

In live performances, Fletch mainly claps. Plays little ditties on the synth as well...but mainly claps. :p

Excellent for you, since leather is my absolute favorite thing to wear.

Really, people, it is. Buy me a leather jacket and I'll love you forever :)

How will you spend you pi day? Will it, by any chance, involve... Pie?

I like homophones. That would also be the name of the all-gay band - wherein all members dress the same and play the same instrument - I plan to be the manager of in an unspecific future.

Saturday was pi-day. It transpired uneventfully. None of the shops I visited could supply any actual pies, and none of the salespeople knew why I asked.

I didn't get 3-3-09 until I heard it on the Rachel Maddow show. But meh, holidays are too arbitrary. Most of the time I look forward for the day off.

Anyone celebrate "mole" day?

1 mole = 6.022 x 10^23

(a chemistry unit).

I know I did. With my chemistry teacher. Who is my best friend. I'll shut up now and fight the urge to delete this for a few hours...

Haha, oh my. Why the need for arbitrary explanations? Why not just celebrate every day you can get free?

Btw, i'm probably be at least a little bit celebraty shortly after midwinter 2012. Why you ask? Well, it's my brithday :p But i most def. won't have any thoughts on "Is 2012 the last year?"
:D:D
