i confess that i'm here to get career advice from people with brains like mine. i will probably contribute very little to your forum. sorry about that!

but at least i introduced myself!

i got stranded without a towel 34 years ago and have done stupid bottomfeeder jobs since college. i have hated almost everything i've ever done for money. all i really care about is making strange music by myself. but music shouldn't be a commodity, and strange music can't, so don't tell me to do it for a living!

welcome! first of all DON'T PANIC!

you may not have realised but towels have evolved in the last few decades and are now susceptible to drug abuse so it's much easier to keep track of them these days.

have you considered a career in telephone sanitizing? it doesn't pay very well but financial recompense is but a trivial matter when compared to the joyous feelings that will be inspired by the knowledge that you are serving humanity in such a positive and meaningful way.

There are governments that will pay you to develop a world melting death ray (North Korea and the United States comes to mind). You can still make your weird music in your off time but most importantly, you can end it all!

Sure no one else will really know it was you so your name won't be celebrated/villified or anything but in that last micro-second, you'll know. And that is more important than other people knowing.

In this day and age you can probably just come out of the closet and let the poor girl/beard go on with her life.
