I can't seem to find where to deactivate my account (if it's even possible). Can someone enlighten me?

Yeah...there's a switch on the back of your computer. Press it off, then smash it with a hammer. (It'll work!)

Well, if you want to spend less time around the forum, you use your will power to accomplish so.

That said, I'm not sure why you want to deactivate it, but such option wasn't implemented and intended by the forum owner. We also don't do banning on request, unless you're acting up that is. If there's a privacy issue or something else that's actually serious, we can make some kind of deal (through pm).

You -can't- can deactivate your account by becoming inert.

Edit: Sorry. You asked where do you go to do so. Answer: Go to sleep. When you wake ... forget it ... never mind.

Why do you want to deactivate it?

Because people are so quick to dismiss a far-fetched idea, ignorant people are treated as less-than, I just needed a self-imposed break from the forum (I do the same thing with Facebook when I get too into it), and some of the most active members seem to think being an ass is an INTP character trait. I digress, I guess you guys will have to put up with me forever :storks:

I hope you stick around. You are one of the people I actually like to read posts from. I disagree with you on some things, but I've never raged over one of your posts. I do agree that the are some real dick noses on here. Some of them can grow on you, but others you might just want to skip over their posts. I remember how much I hated Spaceyeti and Nanook (I'm not sure why he made me so mad. He's a super nice guy.) when I first started. But after some time of getting used to them, I've grown to really like having them around. I think that even some of the blob haters wouldn't know what to do without him.

Hopefully you stick around. And hopefully some of the people getting on your nerves either grow up a bit, drop off, or learn some control before they post something rude/hateful.

Is your contention that you're not an asshole?

I would like to know what observations you have made about me which has led you to classify me as an asshole. I am curious. ^_^

Edit: I kid. I kid.

Oh! Me! Me!

You argue in such a way that it seems like you often are more interested in winning the argument than actually being right/holding the truth. It's an INTJ-thing. With the introverted intuition and all.

If you're arguing, you think you know the truth, therefore you're arguing for the truth.

Unless you are wrong, but then you shouldn't argue for it in the first place, if you're not confident about it.

And of course it's always fun to simply argue with idiots by switching sides and shit, just to beat the shit out of them with words. But that's another story.

I try to be nice. I found that even when I try not to hurt people, they end up hating me if they stay near me long enough. Attempts are always in vain. :slashnew:

Tl dr, I try not to be an asshole, i'm just not very succesful at that?

@TriflinThomas Therefore, harsh doesn't apply, or I'm not getting something over here?

Implying one absolute and universal truth.
Enjoy proving that.

Also, connotation, look it up. Even when things have the same objective meaning, some are more hurtful than others. While NT's won't care as much as some other types, that doesn't give you reason to pick harsh over neutral connotations.

So saying the same thing in 25 words what could be said in 2 because you don't wanna sound harsh should be used instead? That's annoying bullshit, "give me a direct response, you muck!" is what I would think.

There there hun, take your meds and go back to sleep.
